Promoting Dialogue on Women and Surrogacy
The 2nd International Congress on Women and Surrogacy, under the theme “Listen to Protect”, will bring together in Madrid experts in law, psychology, anthropology, and feminism, along with surrogates, children born through surrogacy, and their families. The goal is to reflect through diverse voices and experiences on the personal, social, and legal impacts of surrogacy.

The 2nd International Congress on Women and Surrogacy has two main objectives: to highlight the contributions made by the social sciences to the understanding of surrogacy, and to gather first-hand testimonies from families and from women who have carried a pregnancy for others, in order to learn about their personal experiences.

The Latin Network of Researchers in Reproductive Biotechnologies is an initiative that brings together researchers from countries with a Latin cultural tradition to foster debate on assisted human reproduction and its social, ethical and legal implications. Its focus covers issues such as unequal access according to age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or nationality, as well as the mobility of people and genetic material, family models, filiation, legal rights, and anonymity in reproductive processes.
